Katy Perry to Perform at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards

Hot off her headline-making Grammys performance, Katy Perry will be hitting the stage again at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

The singer will join previously announced performers, UK pop group One Direction, as well as presenters Cee Lo Green, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, Chris Colfer, Big Time Rush, Zac Efron, Heidi Klum, Chris Rock, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. Perry’s performance song of choice has not been confirmed, though her newest single “Part of Me” has been heating up the Billboard Hot 100, debuting atop the summit in late February.

Katy Perry has doubly earned her position as a kid favorite — through her music of course — but also for reveling in an outrageous sliming on the show two years ago,” said Marjorie Cohn, president, original programming and development, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group and executive producer of the show. “She works hard and plays hard and that’s what makes her performance on the KCA’s one to look forward to.”

In addition to performing, Perry will battle Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift for the honor of favorite female singer. “Firework” is also up for best song.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will be held March 31 at the USC Galen Center with Will Smith slated to host. The show will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
